The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, the second-oldest zoo in the United States, has many wildlife exhibits. 700 species make their homes at the Cincinnati Zoo, which is world-renowned for its breeding program, and is nicknamed "The Sexiest Zoo In America". The city also has numerous parks perfectly suited for a large number of recreational activities, from hiking to biking and more, while numerous music venues and theaters offer excellent choices for artistic entertainment.


Cincinnati is home to 7 major sports venues, two major league teams, six minor league teams, and hosts five college institutions with their own sports teams. In baseball, the Cincinnati Reds were America's first professional baseball team, turning from an amateur club to a professional team in 1869 as the Cincinnati Red Stockings. The historic international men's and women's tennis tournament, The A.T.P. Masters Series Cincinnati Masters, is also based in the city. The Cincinnati Kings (men's team) and LadyHawks (women's) play outdoor soccer, while the Cincinnati Excite is a men's indoor soccer team.
